Receive God's Warm Love Through Reflection

Martin Luther King Jr. Inspiration

on January 22, 2013

Martin Luther King Jr. made a wonderful mark in history. He speaks words of love, empowerment, and equality. He devoted himself to a greater purpose, to save others. And in the midst of it, he chose God, he chose love, he chose non-violence.

“I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

“Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.”

“Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars…Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

“Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”

“If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”  ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
