Receive God's Warm Love Through Reflection

on June 10, 2013

“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” -Ephesians 4:15

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” -Ephesians 4:29

“Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.” -Psalm 141:3

“Therefore encourage one another with these words.” -1 Thessalonians 4:18

“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” -Colossians 4:5-6

“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” -Psalm 19:14

Words are very powerful. They are like seeds and can grow into something beautiful and meaningful OR make things worse.

When you interact with others, make sure you THINK before you speak.

 T       is it true
 H      is it helpful
 I        is it inspiring
 N      is it necessary
 K      is it kind

Remember that we are each responsible for what we say and pass along. Think and say positive words, and it will start to outweigh the negative. And what we say to ourselves can make a difference. Control your tongue and only speak words of love, words that God would be pleased with!
