I have a dream

on August 29, 2013

Yesterday was the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr’s famous speech, “I have a dream”. Martin Luther was a heroic person who valued equality and fairness and compassion.

“I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream.” – Be motivated, patient, and hopeful no matter what you are dealing with!

“Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice” and “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed – we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.” – God calls all of us his children. We should be kind to others – they all are our brothers and sisters. And we should always strive for improvement in our lives and attitudes toward each other.

“Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.” – Forgive one another.

“Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God’s children.” – Live according to God’s principles, striving for justice and peace.

“We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. We cannot turn back.” – Be focused and determined, knowing that God guides us and others support us, as we grow and live out each day.
