Receive God's Warm Love Through Reflection

Namaste

on September 28, 2013

Yoga is a great exercise for balance in the mind, body, and spirit. The last year or so, I’ve been taking more yoga classes, and it just is a great feeling coming out of the class. It’s great for your body – lots of stretches, flows, balance, breathing techniques, and strength training. It’s great for your mind – relaxation and concentration. And it’s great for your spirit – reflection, praying, and finding energy through God.

I found this definition of Yoga:

Yoga: From the Sanskrit “yug” (yoke), means “union”. Yoga is an ancient discipline in which physical postures, breath practice, meditation and philosophical study are used as tools for achieving liberation.”

In yoga, a common chant is “Nameste”.

NamasteCommonly said at the end of yoga class by the instructor and the students. One beautiful interpretation: I honor that place in you where the whole Universe resides. And when I am in that place in me and you are in that place in you, there is only one of us.”

A simple one-word to chant, but a powerful one. When I say Namaste, I think of peace, harmony, life, honor, equality, and serenity. And I say a little pray to God, thanking Him for this practice and for striving for peace in my life and in the world.

Namaste to all of you!
