“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” -2 Corinthians 9:8
“Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.” -Deuteronomy 16:17
” ‘Please accept the present that was brought to you, for God has been gracious to me and I have all I need.’ And because Jacob insisted, Esau accepted it.” -Genesis 33:11
God’s blessings are abundant. He infuses us with His love so strongly, so that it may flow out to others. Do you remember this hymn? “Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; praise Him, all creatures here below; praise Him above, ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost”
God is the source of all blessings, the source of all life. It flows so much!
Go ahead and make a gratitude list. Count your blessings, using each letter of the alphabet from A to Z. Describe an experience or moment, a person’s name, a gift, or an instance of strength that reveals God love for you. For example, in my list, I see that God blessed me with A. the Air force life, moving, new places and people; M. marriage; O. getting involved in the orchestra in high school, committed to music, having a group of friends with common hobbies; and T. traveling, good memories with family to see new places and experience new cultures. Just some ideas for you to think about!
When we recognize all the good things God has done in our lives, all the blessings He’s given, how does it make you feel? Prayer, reflection, and focusing on gratitude should draw us closer to God, give us inner peace, and make us shine in happiness. We become empowered by His love. Overall, God is nudging us to share our blessings with others.
So, remember all the blessings in your life, what makes your life special and meaningful. And then go out and help other people to see the beauty in their life, too.
