Receive God's Warm Love Through Reflection

Success is finding love in what you do

on August 8, 2014

“Success comes in a lot of ways, but it doesn’t come with money and it doesn’t come with fame. It comes from having a meaning in your life, doing what you love and being passionate about what you do. That’s having a life of success. When you have the ability to do what you love, love what you do and have the ability to impact people. That’s having a life of success. That’s what having a life of meaning is.” – Tim Tebow

It seems that throughout our lives, we are always trying to understand success. What success means to you could mean something different for me. But what your success and my success have in common is love. Isn’t love so vital for happiness in life? To succeed in life we need love. Love within our relationships, but also a love for what work we are doing and for what we are achieving.

Today, exactly 6 years ago, my sister and I graduated from college. That was one point of success for us – accomplishing a goal in our lives and seeking something new. We went out to work in the real world, hoping we would love what we’d do and be successful at it. Since those 6 years, I’ve learned lots and grown too… and I do realize that to be good at what you do, you need to love what you do. There were times when I both enjoyed my work and hated my work.

I know that not every job is “lovely” to do, and in that case, be content with the work that you do and work hard at it, putting as much love and care into your work as you can, and then find love and success in your home-life.

Sometimes it takes years and even our entire life figuring out what we love to do… but keep on working at it. That’s success in it’s own right, to work towards seeking love in your life.
