“Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
At the start of this new week, may we follow your example for serving others. May we make time out of our schedules to do good for others, whether it be donating food, volunteering, or just lending a hand for those that need it.
Too often we are preoccupied with our busy lives that we don’t stop to think about others. How can we sweep away some of that frivilous clutter? What can we do to make room for more important things like serving others? Just as Martin Luther King had a heart full of grace and compassion, we too should be filled with Christ’s love and share it with others through kind service.
In Christ Jesus we pray, Amen.
