Receive God's Warm Love Through Reflection

Recycled Post: Renew Yourself

on May 16, 2015

Our post from June 2013, Renew Yourself, talks about how you can recharge through prayer. We need God, not just in the morning or the evening, but all day. How about incorporating more prayer into your day? Even when you are taking a break from your work, that’s 10 min that you can focus on prayer.

“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.” -2 Corinthians 4:16

The day often goes by so quickly for us, that we are too tired and go to bed without really spending time in prayer.

God says that to get recharged and have energy throughout the day, we must come to Him for peace of mind and renewal.

Find time to replenish. Wake up in the morning a little earlier to savor the morning and say a prayer. When you’re waiting in line at a store, make that your time to pray. When you are prepping for dinner, sing while you work and smile, thank God for the food he’s given you. Listen to music to clear your mind. Go on a walk and soak up all the beautiful sounds and sights of nature that God gave you. Take a relaxing bath, close your eyes and imagine God beside you, comforting you.

When you feel stressed or your day is moving too fast, take a few minutes, stop, and just think about God and all the peace He can give you. He’s the one that will be with you always and has promised forgiveness and eternal life. He’s there with you throughout the day. Turn to Him for renewal.

What are some ways you like to recharge? How do you incorporate more prayer into your day?
