Receive God's Warm Love Through Reflection

Weekly Prayer: Humility

on May 21, 2015

“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy,  brotherly love,  a tender heart, and  a humble mind.” – 1 Peter 3:8

Humilty is not one of the “fruits of the spirit”, but I think it falls under goodness, kindness, and self control.

According to the Catholic texts, humility is defined as, “A quality by which a person considering his own defects has a humble opinion of himself and willingly submits himself to God and to others for God’s sake.”  It’s about lowering oneself to another with compassion and understanding, without having pride.

For this week’s prayer, we urge you to pray about being humble in your daily life with others and in your relationship with God.
